Lead/Senior Business Analyst - must have Insurance + Appian - 2 days a week - Warwickshire
Working within Commercial Transformation for rolling out an Agency and Underwriting Workbench across the organisation. The role combines lead-level responsibility for shaping analysis approach, standards and stakeholder alignment, with hands-on delivery of high-quality business and technical analysis. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in translating underwriting and agency strategy into clear, structured requirements that underpin vendor selection, solution design and phased delivery.
Essential Criteria:
To accelerate vendor selection and delivery readiness with clear, structured and decision-focused analysis
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Lead Business Analyst on complex change programmes within the insurance industry, ideally commercial lines.
Demonstrable experience working with Appian.
Strong requirements engineering skills: elicitation, documentation, prioritisation (MoSCoW), traceability and change control.
Experience operating at both strategic and detailed levels, from shaping analysis approach to writing delivery-ready stories.
Confident stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence and challenge at senior levels across business and technology.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments, supporting backlog management and phased delivery.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to manage traceability and requirements definition in tools like ADO
Desirable:
Strong understanding of commercial underwriting and/or agency sales and servicing processes.
Proven experience defining requirements for integration with complex system integrations, including Guidewire PAS and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
